Comedian D.L. Hughley took to social media after noticing how TMZ’s report about UFC owner Dana White hitting his wife didn’t dramatically make headlines as Black male celebrities who did the same thing.
According to TMZ, White and his wife of 26 years, Anne White, were at a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas when his wife slapped him, and he hit her back, causing others to intervene and attempt to break up the dispute.
But the story didn’t hit the headlines as quickly or dramatically as it had for Chris Brown, Antonio Brown and Bobby Brown, Hughley pointed out on Twitter.

The comedian then went to his Instagram with a screenshot of his tweet, a photo of White and a screenshot of White and his wife at the club.
“‘What can BROWN do for you?’ Apparently not a damn thing! If that had been a (sic) brotha, it’d be NONSTOP coverage, dredging up a playground fight from the 3rd grade, scouring old tweets, you name it,” he wrote in the caption. “# DanaWhite’s ENTIRE LIFE is immersed in brutal, physical violence, he’s amassed a fortune from it. Where are the salacious headlines?? Where’s the pressure?? Ohhhhh, he apologized🙄 #WhitePrivilege (PUN INTENDED) scores a 1st round knockout yet again. #TeamDL.”
