On Wednesday night’s episode of ABC’s Abbott Elementary, an elusive yet highly sought-after handbag appeared on the show, and Black Twitter went up.
The episode titled “Valentine’s Day” used the Black-owned, affordable luxury brand Telfar’s uber-popular shopping bag as a gift from Janine’s new bae, Maurice. The intelligently-placed prop served as the antithesis of what Janine liked; she was more interested in her secret love and coworker’s gift for his girl, Amber– a floral Lego set. Amber, of course, fawned over Mo’s silver shopping bag. During the show, the sometimes dingy teacher hilariously thought the Telfar tote was a gift bag that lacked the goods.
“What’s wrong, you don’t like it?” Mo asked.
“No, I just . . . I think you forgot to put the gift in the gift bag,” the completely oblivious teacher responded. Janine then dumped uncapped ink pens into the vegan leather bag, to Mo’s dismay.
“Careful, careful!” Maurice exclaimed. “Put the caps on those pens,
girl. That bag is expensive.”

Telfar Global was established in 2005. The popular brand has been seen on the arms of Rihanna and Queen Bey, and the brand’s exclusive drops send buyers into a frenzy.
