Folks on social media chimed in to share their thoughts, including the “SBA” rapper who posted her opinion in a lengthy Instagram caption.

“Marriage is just a piece of paper. I can’t stand that saying, if you are broken, say that.” she wrote. If you have never seen a successful marriage, say that. If you don’t like committing, say that. If you were raised by a bitter woman who told you, ‘Ni***s ain’t s**t,’ say that. If your father was a Rolling Stone and put a negative outlook on women or commitment, say that.”

Shantell Allen, also known as Tokyo Vanity, is a New Orleans native rapper and reality star best known for starring in Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta. She rose to fame for her 2015 hit “That’s My Best Friend,” which went viral on Instagram and Vine. She has since garnered media attention for her body positivity, weight loss journey, and virginity.

Tokyo also talked about her desire to preserve the traditional values of marriage before having a child into the world and the taboo nature of counseling in the Black community because people say it’s “white people s**t.”

Suba Sen, one of Tokyo’s best friends, commented on her post, “Facts. Bitterness and hurt, they have the most opinions about relationships. If spouses share happy moments, they should suspect that they are happy.” PERIOD.

Many “roommates” agreed with Tokyo’s input. What do ya’ll think about her option?
