Offset, the father of a newborn was almost attacked by a young lion after he decided to pet the feline. He later took to social media to explain his reaction.
The Migos rapper was on a trip to Dubai, and apparently, a personal wildlife tour was on his itinerary.
Initially, it seemed that the young female lion didn’t mind Offset’s strokes on her head but eventually, she tired of him and let him know.

Somehow, we get the feeling that the young lioness’s reaction is not something foreign to Offset.
Luckily, Offset is wiry enough that he could spring up and away once the lion struck out. Her trainer being there also certainly helped.
While Offset was in Dubai trying to channel Dr. Doolittle, his wife, Cardi B., was here taking care of the newborn son she delivered last week.
At least he had enough sense to appreciate the lack of logic in his actions.
“Had no business playing with this damn lion 🦁 I was scared no 🧢,” he wrote.
Apparently, being nearly attacked by one of the most ferocious cats on the planet is a right of passage for some rappers because, in that thread, Big Sean said the same thing happened to him.
Then, there was that one time that Offset’s wife was lunged at by the cheetah she was holding in her “Bodak Yellow” video.
Maybe, just maybe, interacting with wild animals that are known for being able to kill animals four times their size is not the kind of fun that some people think it is.
Either way, we’re glad that Offset escaped his incident with just an elevated heart rate and a little regret. There are five children who need him.
