On August 25, husband and veteran NBA player Dwyane Wade took to social media and congratulated his wifey, actress Gabrielle Union on the 21st anniversary of the legendary film she co-stars on, Bring It On, with a funny shout-out.
Wade took to Twitter and re-tweeted one of the most iconic scenes from the film, where Union is seen with her squad showing up at the “Toros” football game on the stadium bleachers and hosts a mini cheer-off to the stolen cheer.
“Oh, that’s her I mean business walk,” Wade wrote as a caption to the clip. “Every time I leave the toothpaste cap off.”

Union plays the role of “Isis” in the film, the captain of the East Compton Clovers cheerleading squad, alongside Kristen Dunst, who plays “Torrance” and is the captain of the Rancho Carne Toros.
Union’s role in the film is considered a groundbreaking, pivotal point in her life, as it was the beginning of her decades-long successful career.
In an interview with Vogue in August of last year, the Being Mary Jane star talked about how the cheerleading movie has been proven to be a timeless hit in the cinematic world.
“It covered ground that no other teen movie has ever covered then or since. Ever. Like, in history. It would’ve been as relevant 60 years ago as it was 20 years ago, and it’ll probably still be relevant 20 years from now,” she said. “It’s the subject matter and how we handled it so unflinchingly with humor. It’s really stood the test of time and still packs the same wallop, but in a campy, good time.”
