Diane Linston’s Black-owned NGU (Never Give Up) Designs will be making its global debut at the Eifel Tower in Paris during Fashion Week this fall reported Black News.

Linston has dressed the mother of singer John Legend and actresses Elise Neal and Jaszmin Lewis. Her designs have been featured at New York Fashion Week, Harlem Fashion Week and Essence Festival. Now, she is expanding her empire and conquering the global market by participating in Paris Fashion Week.

She will present her NGU line in Paris which is currently showcased at her boutique, Styles of Imagination Fashions, in Beachwood, Ohio.

The atelier-extraordinaire designed the line with women’s confidence in mind and actively created each piece from its early design phases to completion.

About the next phase in her career, Linston said, “I am so happy that my company is going to the next level. I’m speechless because I’ve overcome so much. I meet so many people who give up on their dreams because they don’t know how to get to the next level. That’s why when you purchase one of my designs, each one has a label that contains words of encouragement.”

The Ohio-based designer, who also owns her own manufacturing facility, said the pandemic made her have to rethink her business to meet the needs of consumers. That is when she began designing and producing designer masks. Within her first week, she did over $15,000 in sales. Now, Linston’s masks are sold online, in-store at her boutique, and at a kiosk in Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

The advice she gives to anyone who is struggling through this time is to press on and restructure.

“The pandemic changed my life and my way of thinking. It made me restructure my business. I know we are facing hard times, but I advise you not to give up. Now is the time to rethink your life.”
