In a TikTok video of Vivica A. Fox speaking at a recent event, the 57-year-old actress opened up to the crowd about not having children of her own, as well as her love for being a godparent to six children. The Set It Off star also revealed that she never met the right man with whom she could have kids.
“I got six godbabies. Don’t think because I didn’t birth children that I don’t have children.” Fox stated in the clip. “I have six godchildren, and I do not feel less fulfilled as a woman, period.”

“I absolutely love children. In my life, it was career over children. And I never met the man that I can have children with. I didn’t. I almost made that mistake, and three months before, my family was like, ‘You will not. You absolutely will not.’” she continued, adding, “Like I said, I have six godchildren, that when God took away my opportunity to bear children, he sent my godbabies.”
While sitting down with Oprah Winfrey on OWN’s Where Are They Now in 2014, the Two Can Play That Game actress admitted at the time, “If that’s the one thing that I have a regret about, that would be that I didn’t have a child.”

Sharing a moment between her and fellow actress Halle Berry, Fox added, “I’ll never forget seeing Halle on the red carpet, and she’d just had Nahla. And I said, ‘Wow, she’s so beautiful.’ She said, ‘Vivica if I knew then what I know now, I would’ve had five of them.’ And she says, ‘The joy that I see in her eyes is just like no other high that I’ve ever experienced.’ So I don’t get to see my eyes in a child.”
