Move over, Nick Cannon! Usher is going to be a father again. The singer and his girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea, are expecting their second child together. This will make four children for Raymond. He has two sons from his previous marriage and Goicoechea had a daughter in September 2020.
Usher was head over heels when he announced the birth of his daughter, Sovereign Bo Raymond, on Instagram.
“So, Sovereign, man, is such a beautiful word and name to me, you know, a supreme ruler is obviously the defined name,” Usher said. “She’s definitely ruling the household, but Sovereign Bo — Bo is at the end of it, so [she’s] my little ‘reign-bo.’ ”

At Thursday’s iHeart Radio Music Awards, Goicoechea showed off her bump and caused interested parties to count on their fingers how long it had been since she had the last baby. Usher was hosting the event. The couple certainly knows how to spring the news on us. In an interview with Extra the day before the big reveal, he never mentioned that his girlfriend was expecting.
The serial monogamist singer, 42, wed stylist Tamika Raymond in 2007 and had two children, Usher V and Naviyd. In 2015, he married 51-year-old New Yorker, Grace Miguel. They separated in 2018. He was publicly linked to Jenn Goicoechea, a 37-year-old record executive in 2019.
Thankfully, Usher has several gigs to support his love of procreation. He will begin his Las Vegas residency in July. In April, sports equipment company Peloton began an artist series starring his most popular tunes. He also partnered with Remy Martin to do a short film about the link between cognac and Black people.
But, Usher really secured his children’s future when he created his own currency, Usherbucks. His children won’t ever want for anything. Our congratulations to the fertile couple!
