Since breaking into the comedy scene several decades ago, Steve Harvey has proved himself to be far more than a one-trick pony, eventually hosting Family Feud, televised beauty pageants and his very own talk show, which ran for five seasons. Now, the radio personality is trying his hand at being a television judge, with the premiere of ABC’s Judge Steve Harvey set to debut on Jan. 4.
In a promo clip for the show, the Kings of Comedy star is shown hearing different cases while sitting in front of a golden gavel, naturally cracking a few jokes along the way. And while the show doesn’t premiere until next year, many social media users already have a few opinions on the comedian’s latest venture.
