SZA Stops Concert To Check On Audience, Fan Reportedly Went “Limp” In The Crowd

"This girl's eyes were rolling back in her head by song THREE," the singer revealed on social media.

While performing her hit song “Broken Clocks” at a concert this past week, SZA stopped her show to check in with her audience, asking different crowd sections if they were OK.

In a video obtained by The Shade Room, SZA asks

her team to stop the music before addressing the crowd, asking, “Is everyone OK in here?” The 32-year-old singer then added, “I just want to see faces and smiles and hands, so I’m clear.”

Revealing that a fan in the crowd had grown ill during the show, the Grammy-nominated artist commented on The Shade Room’s Instagram post, explaining, “This girl’s eyes were rolling back in her head by song THREE. She was literally limp. It was scary. What ppl don’t realize is passing out used to [be] normal at concerts before ppl started dying,”

“None of us are willing to let ppl die to get a moment off. So now WE PAYING EXTRA ATTENTION. It’s called humanity. Acquire some. P.S. I talked to her, and she is fine now. Y’all be blessed.” SZA continued.

Following the deadly crowd surge at Astroworld, which resulted in the death of nine people, entertainers have been much more cautious about how they handle large crowds. As Sister 2 Sister previously reported, Katt Williams paused his comedy set after a fan passed out. The comedian reportedly resumed the show after they received help from paramedics.

Performing on her farewell tour, Teyana Taylor also checked in with her crowd following the Astroworld tragedy. According to HuffPost, the “Gonna Love Me” singer addressed the public after a fan reportedly looked to be “in distress,”

telling her audience, “Bring her up here. Is she OK? We ain’t doing that. Come on.”

A security guard then transported the fan to a seat away from the crowd, the outlet reported.
