Riley Burruss, Kandi Burruss’ daughter, shocked social media users after posting a video revealing her significant weight loss.
On Monday, Riley posted a video on Instagram and TikTok of her and her mom, joking about how she enjoyed spending the money her mom made.
Kandi was the first one in front of the camera dancing with the caption “mom who makes all the money” appearing. The clip quickly cut to Riley dancing with the caption, “daughter who loves spending money.”

Rilley captioned the post, “That part,” while tagging her mom.
Many people in the comments section took notice of Riley’s transformation, calling her “unrecognizable.”
“Riley looks almost unrecognizable,” one person commented. “She’s always been a pretty young lady but she’s really growing up.”
Another Instagram user wrote, “Harpo who dis women…. Cause that’s not Riley.”
“Woah that’s Riley… I didn’t recognize her.”
“We need Riley’s weight loss program please!!!”
“Can you tell us your diet cause imma eat what you eat.”
Most of the comments were about her weight loss, causing some users to comment their disgust with people focusing on her weight loss.
“Women should not comment on another woman’s weight,” a user wrote. “How do you know if she is insecure about her body? How about .. Riley you look good.. and leave it at that.”
“Riley was never BIG! AND she’s a young girl…..looks like a very natural glow up to me,” someone commented. “Yall don’t understand diet and exercise and its sad. Slay Lil sis!”
Riley, a student at NYU, posted a video on TikTok addressing how trolls used to tell her she needed to lose weight, but now her comments are full of people calling her “snatched.”
According to PEOPLE, Kandi made an Instagram post dedicated to Riley about how she made her proud for taking her health seriously. The post was deleted but reportedly included before and after photos.
“I’m so proud of my baby @rileyburruss! Last year (around September I think) Riley decided to get serious about being fit,” Kandi wrote. “With the help of her trainer @iamthekingoffitness she’s lost 52lbs!!!! & she did it the right way by working out 5 days a week & watching her calorie intake.”
Kandi revealed that her daughter had online trolls pick on her for her weight, which angered her.
“Y’all just don’t understand how hard it is to grow up in front of the public eye & in front of social media trolls who make negative comments about kids weight,” Kandi said. “Luckily Riley has tough skin & doesn’t let it bother her but as her mom it used to piss me off when trolls would make negative comments about her size. Nobody knew she was over 200lbs because my daughter is tall. She’s 5’9. & to be honest she wouldn’t tell anybody how much she weighed but now she proudly shares it because she wants to motivate other people who are going thru the Weightloss struggle.”
