Power actor Rotimi and his fiancee, singer/songwriter Vanessa Mdee recently announced that they are expecting a baby boy.
According to People, the young couple said, “We are super excited to welcome our son. As first-time parents, everything about this experience has been a brand-new challenge; we love it.”
Mdee also mentioned that her pregnancy had been nothing but smooth sailing.
“He’s been so good to us. No real pain or symptoms. Some funny cravings and food aversions here and there. It’s been much harder in these final weeks because he’s preparing his arrival, but all in all, we’ve been super blessed.”
Rotimi expects his fiancée to be a “very passionate, love and protective mom.”
Mdee also spoke of her expectation of The Coming 2 America actor and said he is “definitely going to be the cool, calm, collected and fun dad who’s also a great communicative disciplinarian.”
Rotimi and Mdee met in New Orleans at an after-party for Essence Festival and, as the young actor puts it, have been “inseparable ever since,” adding that “Vee headed back to Africa [at the time], but we quickly realized we couldn’t and didn’t want to live without each other.”
The two soon after got engaged on December 30, 2020, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Rotimi took to social media on September 6 and shared a photo of his pregnant fiancée.
