Lizzo is ready for a big girl summer, as reported by Entertainment Tonight. The Grammy Award-winning rapper, who is known for promoting her figure to encourage other women to embrace their bodies, posted a video on Instagram letting folks know she is ready for summer.
In her Instagram video, the singer walks up to the camera wearing a bikini before making a statement. She captioned her post, “PSA: BIG GRRRL SUMMER = BREAK OUT THE BIKINIS? FABS ON DECK HOE! BIG FAT ASS PURRRRRRRRRRRRR ??
.”
“This is a public service announcement,” she said.
“Big Girl Summer has officially begun. And big girls: We have abs. Look at that. Look at that. I know you see it. FABS, honey.”

Lizzo also posted a message about her Juneteenth giveaway. She plans to use her platform to support Black grassroots organizations. She is also giving away tickets to her concert at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn., this September. The buxom entertainer said she would fly one person and a friend out to the festival and give them the VIP treatment. She said fans should go to her website to enter.

Lizzo is also helping women have more self-esteem by partnering with Dove. Lizzo has teamed up with Dove to break beauty standards with the Dove Self-Esteem Project. Dove wants to change society’s beauty standards by redefining what is beautiful. The company chose Lizzo to help them show an authentic representation of beauty with diversity and inclusion.
Lizzo said that she was personally impacted by Dove’s campaign to change women’s self-esteem. She spoke on trying to attain societal beauty standards and how it made her feel unworthy.
“Everything changed for me when I started following people who looked like me. I was following people before who I thought were beautiful – and you know, they were society’s beauty standard. And I think looking at them made me have this desire to edit, or to change or to think that I wasn’t worthy and I wasn’t beautiful.
As someone who has been personally impacted by the work Dove has been doing for years to challenge societal standards and give space to authentic representations of beauty, I could not be more excited to partner with them to help others step into the power of their beauty through programs like the Dove Self-Esteem Project, and the work they do for the Black community to end race-based hair discrimination supporting The CROWN Act.
People are struggling with their self-image and self-confidence more than ever. This is amplified by the increasing pressure to show a digitally distorted version of ourselves, reinforcing the idea that our beauty in real life is not good enough or worthy of likes.”
