Pete Davidson remains unbothered by Kanye West’s new music video for the track ‘Eazy’ featuring The Game. The controversial video shows Ye kidnapping and burying in what appears to be a claymation-version of the SNL cast member, XXL reported.
Sources close to Davidson told Entertainment Tonight on March 4 that the comedian seemingly had no issues with the release of the visual.
“He finds the fact that Kanye included a cartoon version of him in his music video hysterical,” the source said, referring to Davidson. “He is almost flattered by it all because it is so ridiculous to him.”
Additionally, the insider revealed that Davidson “is not threatened by Kanye in any way, shape or form.” While the 44-year-old has taken several shots at Davidson, he reportedly views West’s “social media posts, lyrics, and music videos about him with a grain of salt” as he continues his budding romance with Kim Kardashian.
The insider said that Davidson is “using this to grow in more ways than one, including himself and Kim’s relationship. He is turning all of the negativity into a positive thing.”
Last week, the Chicago native released the “Eazy” video featuring The Game, and the visuals were surprisingly disturbing. After West kidnapped and buried Davidson, he planted rose seeds and flowers sprouted from his head. Then, West filled a truck with red roses, similar to the red roses he sent to Kardashian for Valentine’s Day.
Since the video’s release, many have criticized West for continuously slamming the 28-year-old and finding the visual of Davidson’s decapitated head highly inappropriate. West debuted the video just hours after the SKIMS founder was officially declared single on March 2, Metro reported.
Twitter users reacted to the content displayed in the video from the “Jesus Walks” rapper.
One viewer tweeted: “Kanye West decapitating Pete Davidson in his new music video is absolutely disgusting and pathetic. The man’s 44 and having a completely one-sided feud with this guy to this extreme, it’s vile and so uncomfortable to witness unfold. He needs to be de-platformed like Trump.”

On Sunday, West responded to the criticism in a now-deleted post on his Instagram account with a screenshot of the video saying, “Art is therapy just like this view,” Ye wrote in the caption. “[A]rt is protected as freedom of speech.”
While Kardashian is a single woman now, the source said she and Davidson have reportedly grown closer in their relationship.
“Pete is so understanding and has made an extreme effort to put any of his emotions aside and just be a support system for Kim during this difficult time and transition,” the insider told ET. “Pete has grown so much as an adult, man, public figure and partner through this process, even though he has unexpectedly been thrown in the middle of things, including Kanye’s rants and the publicity that followed.”
The source added, “Kim could not be more appreciative of Pete. They are growing astronomically as a result. This has been more of a positive, growing experience for them, contrary to the negativity that surrounds the situation.”
