Former Fifth Harmony member Normani switched to new management after divorcing Brandon Silverstein of S10 Entertainment — new music is imminent.
Rolling Stone reported Normani recruited new managers, Brandon Creed and Lydia Asrat, to her team to assist her as she gears up to release art.
“With new music on the horizon and Asrat and Creed now at the helm of her musical career, she and the rest of her team are extremely excited to embark on this new chapter and partnership. She wishes Silverstein all the best,” a rep for Normani told the outlet.
Normani is the most recent artist to part way with Silverstein. In June, it was announced that Brazillian singer Anitta also cut ties with him.
Although Creed and Asrat manage Normani together, they are from different companies. Creed is with Good World Management, a company he launched and contains clients like Troye Sivan, Mark Ronson, Tame Impala, Brett McLaughlin and Charlie XCX.
Astrat is from 10Q Management Company, managing the ever-rising former Disney star Coco Jones.
In June, the singer posted a commercial of her partnership with Bose with a snippet of her impending song, “Candy Paint.”
It has been a hot minute since the former X-Factor contestant released anything. Her latest release includes “New To You” with Calvin Harris and HARV-produced “Fair,” which premiered at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Songs chart and No. 14 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart.
Normani had other chart-topping success with hits like “Dancing With A Stranger” with Sam Smith, making No. 7 on Billboard’s Hot 100. “Love Lies” with Khalid slid into No. 9.
Her sultry “Wild Side” track, featuring the incomparable Cardi B, is a must to mention, earning a 2021 Soul Train Award for Best Dance Performance and going RIAA gold.
There’s no doubt this new record will find success. In an interview with Billboard, Normani talked about “Candy Paint,” giving fans a taste of what’s to come before it dropped soon.
“I really wanted to create a record that allowed me to show my personality,” she said. “I feel like there’s a misconception; it probably has everything to do with my social media. I think that people think I’m so serious, which is the complete opposite [of me]. Anybody that really knows me knows that I’m really funny. I’m a goofball! I love to twerk. I’m just regular. I really wanted to create a record that encompassed that and allowed my personality to shine. It’s a performance record first, which I know my fans have been waiting for, for a very long time. It’s fun, energetic, bossy. It’s bold. It’s sassy but assertive, and yeah, I’m really excited to shoot the music video.”
