A new trailer for Oscar Award-winning filmmaker and comedian Jordan Peele’s horror movie Nope revealed its premise.
According to reports, the trailer, featuring Daniel Kaluuya (James Haywood) and Keke Palmer (Jill Haywood), officially dropped via the film’s self-titled Twitter account on Jun. 9.

In the preview, the two main characters attempt to capture and sell exclusive footage of UFOs that haunt their horse training ranch for Hollywood productions. However, the UFOs seem to figure out the Haywood siblings’ scheme and up the ante on tormenting them.
The initial teaser trailer for Nope dropped on Feb. 8, and a full version aired during the 2022 Super Bowl on Feb. 13. It was unclear as to what the movie was about because Peele kept the plot under wraps at the time.
A few months later, another sneak preview of the film featuring NBA superstar Steph Curry was released in April. In the sneak peek, Curry showed off his basketball skills on an indoor court inside a horse ranch.

Other actors in Nope include Steven Yeun, Brandon Perea, Andrew Patrick Ralston, Michael Wincott, Barbie Ferreira, Donna Mills, and Keith David.
Peele’s latest horror movie is expected to be a hit as his debut film, Get Out (2017) and second film Us (2019), both reportedly earned over $255 million at the box office.
In a previous interview with NPR, he explained why he chose to make that particular genre of motion pictures.
“I think it is connected to getting over my own fears: my fears growing up, my fears as a kid watching movies,” the 43-year-old told the outlet. “I’d always — I’d watch these commercials for the Time-Life Mysteries of the Unknown books…and I would freak out, but I would want it. I had this weird love-hate where…if I got to sneak a horror movie at a friend’s house, there was nothing more I would want to do. And then, of course, it would keep me up at night….watching [horror movies] does that for me to an extent. But creating them, I think, helps me deal with fear and makes me feel stronger and braver.”
Nope is set to hit theaters on July 22.
