Mo’Nique and Lee Daniels have reportedly ended their long feud.
Mo’Nique brought Daniels on stage during her Friday night comedy show Mo’Nique and Friends: April Fools’ Day with the Queen of Comedy in Staten Island.
A video captured from the event was shared on Twitter. In it, Daniels is seen standing with his arm around Mo’Nique.
“I am so sorry for hurting you in any way that I did,” he said.
“Y’all, she was my best friend, my best friend. Y’all think that Precious was just, that was just God working through both of us. And we’re going to fucking do it again,” Daniels told the crowd in referencing their upcoming film together, Demon House.
“I love you,” they both said to one another.

Mo’Nique has been vocal about her 13-year feud with Daniels, which sprouted from her 2009 role as a portrayal of an abusive mother in Precious.
During the 2010 Oscar season, Mo’Nique refused to campaign for the film. After winning best-supporting actress for the role, she said in her acceptance speech, “First, I would like to thank the Academy for showing that it can be about the performance and not the politics.”
In a 2015 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mo’Nique shared how she was blackballed from the film industry for speaking out and not “playing the game.”
“I got a phone call from Lee Daniels. And he said to me, ‘Mo’Nique, you’ve been blackballed.’ And I said, ‘I’ve been blackballed? Why have I been blackballed?’ And he said, ‘Because you didn’t play the game,'” she said.
The two sealed the deal of their renewed friendship and showed love for one another by sharing a picture on their Instagrams.
