A rumor that singer Rihanna is pregnant with her first child by rapper A$AP Rocky is making the rounds on social media after a picture of her circulated the internet. Rihanna was in Barbados being awarded an honor by Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley on Nov. 30.
Rihanna was declared a national hero and honored with the title, “the right excellent,” amidst Barbados celebrating the historical event of becoming a republic.
The island removed Queen Elizabeth II as head of state on Nov. 30. The island ended 400 years of British rule, and Prince Charles also attended to mark the occasion.
The Prime Minister praised Rihanna for her creativity, excellence, discipline and extraordinary commitment to the “land of her birth.”
“On behalf of a grateful nation, but an even prouder people, we therefore present to you the designee for national hero of Barbados, Ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty,” said the the prime minister. “May you continue to shine like a diamond and bring honor to your nation by your words, by your actions, and to do credit wherever you shall go. God bless you, my dear.”
Despite the singer being honored by the Prime Minister of Barbados, all fans wanted to know was if Rihanna was pregnant.

A photo of her at the event sparked questions about a bun in the oven, and folks began to argue on social media about whether or not she was pregnant.

One fan noted that the singer had just received an honor from the Prime Minister of Barbados, but pregnancy was all anyone wanted to discuss.

Despite appearances, another fan argued that Rihanna may have gained weight and is not pregnant.

Rihanna said she was honored to be given such an honor by her homeland and said none of her other awards compared to the one she received from Barbados’ government.
“This is a day that I will never, ever forget. It’s also a day that I never saw coming,” she said. “I have traveled the world and received several awards and recognitions, but nothing, nothing compares to being recognized in the soil that you grew in.”
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been dating since 2020. And although the couple is cute as hell, the “Where Have You Been” singer doesn’t sound like she’s trying to be anybody’s mama– just yet.
