“Being Jordan Brand’s first NIL athlete is an incredible milestone, and I think it’s a testament to the hard work I’ve put in and all the people around me who have helped me get to this point,” the UCLA freshman said in the press release. “Signing with the Jordan Brand is another motivating factor for me to continue to work hard and achieve my goals.”

She also took to her Instagram page to share the news with her followers.

Standing at 5’11,” Kiki is reportedly one of the most decorated players from the class of 2022. As part of the Jordan brand’s roster of women athletes, she’s now part of its mission to help serve the local community and improve gender equality in sports for young girls.

“The Jordan Brand family is made up of leaders who are making a difference on and off the court. Together, Rice and Jordan Brand will collaborate on ways to serve Rice’s local community, like helping improve gender equity in sports for young girls,” the Nike press release indicated.

When Kiki’s new deal went public, she received a plethora of welcome messages from some of the Jordan brands’ biggest stars. NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony, New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson and Los Angeles Dodgers player Mookie Betts were among those who recorded videos welcoming her to the list of Jordan-sponsored athletes.

Kiki reportedly earned MVP status while leading Team USA to a gold medal at the FIBA U18 Americas Championship.
