Duane “Dog, the Bounty Hunter” Chapman claims he used the n-word because he thought he had mythical Black pass like Eminem.

Dog made the absurd comment after ET’s Kevin Frazier asked about allegations of racism from several sources, including his own daughter. Frazier is Black, by the way.

“I have never been a racist,” Chapman declared. “I’m 33.5 percent Apache. But because of over 15 years ago, I have an Achilles’ heel because I used the wrong word.”

Chapman earned a reputation as a racist after using the n-word at least six times during a recorded phone call in 2007. The controversy led to the cancellation of his hit reality show Dog the Bounty Hunter.

When Frazier asked why he thought it was okay for him to say it, Chapman named dropped, Slim Shady.

“I thought I had a pass in the Black tribe to use it, kind of like Eminem,” he admitted.

For the record, Eminem has publicly stated he doesn’t use the n-word. It’s a word he doesn’t “feel comfortable with.”

Chapman also claimed some Black guys he met in prison allowed him to use the slur.

“I had just gotten out of prison in 1979 after spending 18 months in Texas, and it was probably three-quarters from the Black tribe,” Chapman continued. “So, that was a word that we used back and forth as maybe a compliment. My pass expired for using it, but no one told me that. To say a racist name doesn’t qualify to make you a racist.”

Dog’s racist past came up again thanks to a public feud with his daughter Bonnie. Last month, the 22-year-old accused her father of barring her from his wedding because she supports the Black Lives Matter movement, according to TMZ. Additionally, she claimed his show Unleashed was canceled by UTV in March due to racist and homophobic behavior.

Chapman also denied being homophobic.

“She’s been fed what to say,” he said of his daughter. “I have three men on my staff that are gay. My daughter is gay, Baby Lyssa. I don’t understand why anybody would ever say that.”

Bonnie has reportedly called ET to apologize for her dad’s commentary and said she was “disturbed” by his remarks.
