Former Miami Dolphin linebacker turned podcast host Channing Crowder’s obsession with Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson reached an all-time low recently.
On the August 2 episode of The Pivot podcast, Crowder, Fred Taylor and Ryan Clark hosted retired NFL football player Patrick Surtain, Sr, and his son Patrick Surtain II, Wilson’s fellow teammate. The father and son spoke highly of the former Seattle Redhawks quarterback, calling him a “leader.”
Surtain II even praised Wilson for keeping the team “cool, calm and collected.” He also noted that the 33-year-old father and husband played R&B to calm the guys down in the locker room, to which Crowder began his hateration.
“I don’t want to be soothed; I’m trying to go out and fight a big motherf–ker trying to hit me in the head,” he said.
“I know dudes that I want to hang with. I grew up in Atlanta, and I know guys I wanna hang with. I don’t wanna hang with Russ! ‘Cause he put mousse in his hair, he slick it sideways, he ain’t my type of dude.”
Crowder’s ongoing display of toxic masculinity earned him a righteous dragging on Twitter.

In late March, Crowder called the quarterback a “square” and a “goofball” after insisting that singer Ciara was only with her husband for the money.
“If Russell didn’t have that bread, Ciara wouldn’t be with him. Ciara, she has a good situation,” he said. “You don’t leave Future and get with Russell Wilson. It’s a type. Everybody has a type … and I love him on the field, but he’s fu**ing square.”
At this point, although Wilson hasn’t responded to Crowder’s dig, the mediocre man’s obsession is beyond weird.
