Black Twitter recently dragged YouTuber and wrestler Logan Paul for his negative review of Oscar Award-winning filmmaker and comedian Jordan Peele’s new film, NOPE.

Paul took to Twitter to express his unsolicited thoughts about NOPE–namely, that he felt it was “one of the worst movies” he’s “seen in a long time.” The social media personality, known for his bizarre “suicide forest” YouTube video from 2017, among other things, gave several reasons why he thought NOPE sucked.

“NOPE is one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a long time,” Paul tweeted on July 24. “I love Jordan Peele, and Keke Palmer can act her ass off, but this movie is objectively slow and confusing with stretched themes that don’t justify the pace (a thread).”

He continued with his detailed list, nitpicking every little aspect of the box office hit movie. Then, he concluded his rant by explaining that he felt Peele was trying to “recreate the shock from Get Out and Us.”

“I love Peele, the VFX & aesthetic. But my thesis is this: I can feel him attempting to recreate the shock from Get Out and Us. Mystery, violent allure & cinematic choices made for the sake of reaction instead of [a] legitimate contribution to the storyline killed this movie for me.”

Naturally, Black Twitter dragged him for his commentary and defended the box-office hit.

“Of course, Logan wouldn’t like #NOPE the movie is talking about what he actually is… [a] spectacle for profit without purpose. AND #NOPE, I am told, is ridiculous on purpose.. like @LoganPaul and his brother,” radio veteran Ebro Darden tweeted.

“Logan Paul said Nope was one of the worst movies he has ever seen. I need to watch this masterpiece NOW,” user @thoughtfulbae wrote.

“Every question that Logan Paul asked is explained in the movie,” user @urbanzosf tweeted.

Every question that Logan Paul asked is explained in the movie. Maybe people look at films differently or he spent to much time questioning everything while watching so it distracted them from actually gathering the answers to his questions. #Nope https://t.co/mSi3MKE1fB

“Logan Paul: ‘Hey, everybody. Here’s my take on the new movie, Nope.’ Everybody: [Spongebob meme],” user @JermaineWatkins said.
