Earlier this month, Kandi Burruss dished out details in a Live Stream with Eddie Levert about how the Boyz II Men group had allegedly disrespected her in a past situation. That of which Wayna Morris, a group member, clapped back to on social media.
On her YouTube channel, Burruss addressed the shade that Morris was throwing at her.
She said, “I’ve had so many people come up to me and ask me about the whole situation. Clearly, he did not understand why I was offended because how he told the story is not how I felt. And then I noticed he tried to throw a little shade at the end. Hmm. You need to be a housewife, honey.”
Oop.
Burruss, however, expressed that she still has love for the group.
‘But it’s all good. No shade here. I love the group Boyz II Men as far as them being artists. I think they’re amazing. I have no shade about them, their career, or anything like that. But I did have a bad experience,“ she continued.
“He made it seem like I just had an issue with the splits. But that is definitely not why I said they were my worst experience. I thought that I had been cool with Wanya and Shawn. I had hung out with them before, and I thought they were real cool people, so I was really looking forward to working with them in the studio.”
Burruss went into detail about the whole situation on how the splits went down from her own point of view.
“I asked them how do they usually do their splits. Instantly, attitude shifted. ‘Whatchu mean, how we do our splits?’ I was like, ‘Well, I was just wondering.’ Because everyone has a different way of doing it. They said, ‘Oh, you want to talk about splits.’”
She explained that the misunderstanding happened when she believed the group did not want to speak about splits, but they did and had already made up their minds about how much she’d get.
“I felt like it was multiple things. I felt like it was a lot of ego. They felt like someone writing for them, with them, shouldn’t have been able to ask about splits. And for two, I think me being a woman, they didn’t have to do business with me. I did not raise my voice at them; I didn’t curse at them. Matter of fact, Mike, the nice one, called my manager back and said, ‘Please tell Kandi I’m sorry for the way everybody handled her. That wasn’t cool,” she added.

Burruss even went as far as to say she believes that it was a misogynistic issue.
She said, “If I was a man, that would have never happened. If I was a guy, they would have never, in a million years, handled a dude like that.”
Although the group may still be holding on to tension towards her, Burruss claimed to have let it go.
“I’m not holding grudges. Since then, I have seen them. I’ve spoken to them. But if someone asks me what was my worst experience. I’m sorry. That is the truth. I did not imagine it. It definitely happened. And it was disrespectful as f**k. I don’t care if you feel like I should have got 5 percent or 2 percent; it’s still a discussion to be had if we’re doing business.”
“I know that I’m well enough accomplished on my own that your shade means nothing to me,” she added.
