After 30 years of marriage, former President Barack Obama, 61, is still smitten with his wife, former first lady Michelle Obama, 59. TMZ spotted the Obama family on a family trip enjoying sites of ancient Greece.
As the family ascended stairs while checking out the Acropolis in Athens, Barack couldn’t help but lend Michelle a helping left hand on her rump while their daughters — Malia, 24, and Sasha, 21 — trailed.
The Obama family was in Greece to attend the Obama Foundation Leaders Convening event.

Michelle and Barack have been married since 1992. They met in 1989 in Chicago when Michelle got assigned to mentor him at Sidley Austin LLP since they were both Harvard graduates, Michelle explained in a 2008 interview with ABC. Michelle admitted to not liking Barack, while the former president claimed he was “smitten.”
A month after knowing each other, Barack spared no time and asked Michelle out. Despite turning him down, the former president persisted until she reluctantly agreed to one date.
While dating for two years, the two danced around the topic of marriage until 1991. They went to a restaurant, and Michelle assumed they were celebrating his passing the bar exam.
“We were at a restaurant having dinner to celebrate the fact that he had finished the bar,” Michelle recalled. “And that was supposedly the reason. And then the waiter came over with the dessert and a tray. And there was the ring. And I was completely shocked.”
Barack got on his knees and asked the big question.
A year later, the two got married on Oct. 3, 1992. One thing Michelle remembers is the promise he made and kept.
“Barack didn’t pledge riches, only a life that would be interesting. On that promise, he delivered,” she said, according to the Obama Foundation site.
