In a rare and brutally honest interview, Da’Naia Jackson bared her soul, recounting the tumultuous tolls she endured during her marriage to social media relationship guru Derrick Jaxn.
Speaking on the May 24 episode of the “Dear Future Wifey” podcast hosted by Laterras R. Whitfield, Da’Naia, a devout woman of faith, shed light on the devastating consequences of Derrick’s repeated infidelity within their marriage.
Unveiling her truth with raw vulnerability, Da’Naia admitted that Derrick’s betrayal led her down a dark path of obsession and self-doubt.
She confessed to becoming fixated on the physical attributes of his mistresses, revealing, “I knew her body better than I knew my own. Yes, several women. I knew several other women’s bodies better than I knew my own.”

The mother of two described the depths of her emotional and mental anguish, recounting how she studied the looks, personality traits, and sexual mannerisms of Derrick’s mistresses.
Da’Naia, 32, admitted to stalking their social media profiles and even watching sex tapes featuring her ex-husband and his side chicks. Desperate to win back his attention and affection, she attempted to imitate these women, hoping that he would choose her. It was a heartbreaking and triggering period in her life, as she tearfully confessed, “I completely lost myself and became a shell of myself.”
In the interview, Da’Naia also revealed that her experience as a sexual assault survivor heightened her sensitivity to touch, enabling her to immediately detect her husband’s infidelity. Her snooping eventually confirmed her worst fears—Derrick was a serial cheater, and his public image as a relationship coach, especially for Black women, was nothing but a facade. In 2021, one of Derrick’s mistresses stepped forward, exposing his unfaithfulness to Da’Naia. After four years of marriage, the couple filed for divorce in December 2022, sharing the responsibility of raising their young daughter and son.
