Social media star, chef, and actress Tabitha Brown recently shed tears of joy after earning two Emmy nominations for her children’s show Tab Time.
According to Variety, Tabitha earned a nomination for Outstanding Host and Outstanding Preschool Series for her YouTube Originals show, Tab Time. Nominations for the inaugural Children’s & Family Emmys were announced on Nov. 1, and include 50 categories. Netflix reportedly leads the group with about 85 nominations, while Disney Channel, Disney+, and Disney Junior follow up with around 78 nominations.
Shortly after the nominees were announced, Tabitha shared an emotional video via her Instagram page.
“Y’all look at what the Lord has done [crying emojis]. Tab Time is nominated for not [one] but [two] Emmys!!!!!” she said while shedding tears. “[One] for Outstanding preschool series and 1 for me as Outstanding Host [party popper emojis] Thank you @televisionacad @daytimeemmys @youtubeforfamilies @thekidsatplay @creativeartistsagencyand @scaleproductions [crying eyes emojis] [raising hands emojis] OOHHH GOD I THANK YOU [raising hands emojis]. Tab Time follows Tabitha as she leans into her natural abilities as a chef, mother, and mentor who teaches children how to live their best life. According to the show’s description, “children can learn with Super Cool Experts (celebrity guests) in Tab’s Lab as well as complete crafts with DJ Khrafty.”
In another IG post, Tabitha revealed that she had a dream about being nominated for an Emmy.
“Y’all listen!! I know I talk about this in my book, but I have to share this with y’all [red heart],” she said. “This summer, on June 26, I dreamt that Tab Time won an Emmy!! I woke up and immediately texted my team! What I’ve learned over the years is to be obedient with sharing my dreams, so when they manifest, people believe in the power of gifted dreamers!”

The first annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards will be presented on Dec. 10 (Creative Arts) and Dec. 11 at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles.
