RHOA star Kenya Moore told Page Six that she is open to NeNe Leakes returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Moore spoke with the outlet in an interview published on Nov. 11.
The outlet asked the reality star what she thought about Leakes returning to the RHOA. Leakes had recently appeared on The Real and said that she wouldn’t mind returning to take care of unfinished business on the show.
“I think that we are in a decent place. I did go to Gregg’s repast, and I did think that we had gotten to a place where we felt better about each other and our relationship,” said Moore.
The reality star added that it would be up to Bravo, not NeNe if she wanted to come back to the show.
“I don’t know if that is NeNe’s decision at this point. I think it’s really kind of up to the network,” Moore noted.
Moore did concede that Leakes was an original cast member of the show, that fans of the show still love her. And if it were up to the fans, NeNe would return.
“If it were up to her fans, they would say, ‘Absolutely yes, bring her back.’ She was a viable cast member for many, many years,” Moore said. “She’s one of the OGs and you can’t take that away from the franchise.”
The reality star said it was over her pay grade to decide whether or not Leakes would come back but noted that the passing of her husband would make for an “interesting” storyline. Gregg Leakes passed away in September from colon cancer.
“I do think that she has a very interesting story to tell now, especially with the unfortunate passing of her husband,” said Moore.
As for Moore, she was returning to the show and was also part of the cast for a new Bravo Housewives all-star special. Moore posted a teaser for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girl’s Trip on Instagram.
The cast includes Moore and other stars from the Real Housewives franchise. Former RHOA stars Eva Marcille, Cynthia Bailey and Phaedra Parks, are also in the cast.
