Veteran Queens rapper 50 Cent recently apologized to Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion for trolling her online.
50 reportedly apologized to her for suggesting that she lied about being shot by Tory Lanez. During his latest interview with radio host Big Boy, he said he changed his mind after hearing evidence from the court case.
“I’m gonna apologize to Megan Thee Stallion. I said some things, and it was because–on social media I posted things when she said she was with Gayle, and [Gayle] said, ‘What? No? And I was like, ‘ahh, she lying,’” 50 said about his online trolling.
His comments arrived after he shared memes depicting Megan and Tory as fictional characters. He also compared her to former Empire actor Jussie Smollett, who was found guilty of staging a hate crime.
But 50 Cent decided to apologize after a phone call between Tory and Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris was mentioned during the trial.
“That made me feel like…now I know what happened. I’m sure that was probably what swayed people in court, too,” the Queens rapper said.
A few days prior, veteran millennial rapper, Soulja Boy, criticized the rap industry for not supporting Houston hottie Megan Thee Stallion amid her ongoing shooting case.
Soulja shared his thoughts on the shooting involving the Canadian crooner via a now-deleted Instagram post.
“Yall ni**as out here shooting bi**hes, and ain’t nobody gone say nothing? I’m the only ni**a in the whole rap game that’s gonna say something? Ok, cool,” he ranted about the hip-hop industry. He continued, calling Tory a b**ch.
“Well, Tory Lanez you a bi**h,” he called the singer. “You a bi**h ni**a on me. Y’all watched this ni**a shoot this bi**h and everybody said, ‘He ain’t do it.’ Man, f**k y’all lame a** ni**as.”
Another Black male celebrity, Hosea Chanchez of the hit CW show The Game, stepped up in Megan’s defense as well. Earlier in January, Hosea penned a letter to show some support to the musician who was allegedly shot in her foot and told to “dance b*tch!” in 2020.
