Willow Smith’s Stalker, Walter James Whaley III, Has Extensive Record Of Sexual Offenses

Walter James Whaley III, Willow Smith”s alleged stalker, is a registered sex offender who was charged in 2013 with molesting a child and a host of other crimes, according to a report by the L.A. Times.

Whaley, who identified himself as a resident of Glendale in his LinkedIn profile, is registered as a sex offender in California. His offender profile in the California system, accessed via a Megan’s Law search, said that he had several known aliases, including Walter Whalet, Walter Whalley, and W. Lter Whaley.

The Los Angeles County Superior Court told Sister 2 Sister that Whaley, 38, has a long list of cases against him in Glendale. The most disturbing of these is the case of the eight-year-old girl L.A. Times reported on in 2013.

The incident occurred at Glendale Central Library, where the mother of an eight-year-old girl accused him of molesting her daughter.

According to the publication, Whaley approached the girl as she and her mother waited outside the library, kneeling to ask the little girl about the mask she was wearing. Her mother, alarmed, told the man that her daughter was sick and had just seen a doctor. Whaley began massaging the girl’s upper thigh near her buttocks for 10-15 seconds and whispered inaudibly in her ear.

The mother and several witnesses told police the massaging appeared inappropriate and sexual in nature.

The pervert left the scene when the mother drew her daughter close to her but returned and began massaging the girl’s shoulders, again for 10-15 seconds. The mother pushed Whaley from her daughter and called the police. He was arrested and charged with a felony count of performing lewd acts upon a child under 18.

Police later found that Whaley was already a registered sex offender and had a 2010 case in his background where he exposed himself to a woman in Berkeley. The University of California at Berkley Police Department confirmed they had to issue a campus-wide warning about Whaley in July 2011 after two young girls complained that he made inappropriate comments about the manner they dressed and their gender.

The L.A. Times found that he had also been convicted of several other offenses, including trespassing in 2010, battery and assault in 2011, and two counts of contributing to delinquency involving a minor child under age 14.

Whaley pled not guilty to molesting the eight-year-old. However, authorities were worried enough at the time that other victims would be pursued.

“We are very concerned with this type of man being on the streets of Glendale,” Sgt. Tom Lorenz said at the time.

Recently, Smith secured a temporary restraining order against Whaley, who was arrested, again, on March 3, for trespassing and stalking. The arrest is related to a December incident where he scaled a fence around Smith’s property and attempted to enter the premises.

Whaley had originally contacted the “Whip My Hair” singer through social media and frequently posted that he wanted to marry and have a family with her. The restraining order obtained by TMZ said that he is required to cease all contact with Smith and remain 100 yards away from her.
