WHERE ARE THEY NOW? Former ‘Cosby Show’ Co-Star Sabrina Le Beauf Is Now An Interior Designer

The Cosby Show was televised on NBC from 1984 to 1992, marking the sitcom as one of the most notable series on television. While former castmates appeared in other projects years after the series ended in 1992, one castmate decided to switch career paths after eight seasons on the show.

Sabrina Le Beauf, who portrayed Clair and Cliff Huxtable’s oldest daughter Sondra, did not remain an actress in Hollywood. However, she had a few television and film appearances, including

Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1993 and The Sinbad Show in 1994. Amo Mama reported that she developed a new passion after taking some time away from acting.

Le Beauf enrolled in the UCLA Professional Interior Design Program a few years after The Cosby Show ended. She became an interior decorator and started decorating homes for well-off clients with deep pockets.

“Whatever part of the brain and the heart that acting feeds in me, design does the same thing,” she said during an interview with People Magazine in ’99. “You walk into an empty home and little by little you put it together and it comes to life, just the way you build a character. Once it’s there and people really like it, it’s the same as the applause you get as an actor.”

During the interview, the New Orleans native opened up about her divorce in 1996 from businessman Michael Reynolds, whom she wed six weeks after they met in 1987.

“We sort of agreed we were very different people,” Le Beauf said after realizing she rushed into marriage. The divorce, she says, left her “very disappointed in myself.”

And now, the 62-year-old lives in New York City and continues working in interior design. Though she never remarried after her split from Reynolds, Le Beauf is also child-free.
