VIDEO: WNBA Players Released From Team After Food Truck Fight

Two players in the WNBA, Courtney Williams and Crystal Bradford have been released from their contracts after a video of them in fight at a food truck was posted on social media.

Earlier this year, Williams, Bradford and other teammates engaged in fisticuffs in Atlanta outside of a club.

The fight, which took place in May, according to TMZ, happened in front of a food truck which makes the issue all the more confounding. Who sees food trucks and becomes angry?

In true 2021 fashion, someone recorded the brawl, and Williams thought it would be a grand idea to post the fight on her YouTube channel.

On Monday, the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream guard formally apologized for posting the video and making fun of the fight, reported Yahoo!

That decision has cost Williams and Bradford their jobs. Marcus Crenshaw, one of the women’s sports agents, explained in an Instagram Live interview.

“The behavior in the video is unacceptable and does not align with our values as an organization,” said a spokesperson from the Atlanta Dream.

There has been no formal word on why the fight started. A third Dream teammate, Kalani Brown, was also in the video, but her employment was spared because she attempted to break up the fight.

Seeing as how Williams and Bradford are tall enough to be, well, WNBA players, and they were punching and kicking average-sized women, this cannot be their proudest moment.

There are so many lessons here, one of which is that when you get away with something in May, don’t tell everyone about it in October.
