VIDEO: Rapper Saweetie’s Twerking Struggles Went Viral And She Took It All In Stride

Rapper Saweetie went viral on the internet and not for her rapping skills. A video of the 28-year-old twerking or attempting to– caught the attention of Black Twitter, and the jokes ensued.

Earlier this month, one Twitter user posted a video of the “Icy Girl” rapper struggle twerking during a performance, writing, “

I can’t keep defending Saweetie anymore.”

 

The poor girl may have been tired or having a bad day, but the footage of her frantic donkey kicks with her hands on the floor had Black Twitter in stitches. 

One Twitter user added heel-clacking sound effects to the video to up the hilarity of the dancing rapper.

 

Another person co-signed the tweet by adding a video of another cringy Saweetie performance.

 

The rapper took the criticism in stride. Saweetie posted another twerking video with two other women on Instagram with the caption,” I

heard I was the best twerker in da worrrrrrld ??? #icychainchallenge ❄️❄️❄️ reposting my fave videos tag me ????‍♀️ @theicygrls.”

 

Saweetie is most known for her 2017 hit single “Icy Girl.” Since then, the California native, born Diamonté Harper, has worked with Quavo from The Migos, Doja Cat and Jhené Aiko.
