Cardi B and her sister, Hennessy Carolina, beat their defamation lawsuit.
The defamation case was brought against them by three beachgoers who got into a confrontation with Carolina in The Hamptons back in September 2020, TMZ reports.
A New York trial judge has dismissed the defamation, assault, and battery case, saying the insults hurled by Carolina were too general and didn’t rise to the level of libel.
According to the lawsuit, it alleged that Carolina, and Carolina’s girlfriend, Michelle Diaz, had blocked the plaintiffs in. In addition, the individuals claimed they had been defamed during an altercation over parking.

Manuel Alarcon was wearing a Maga hat and approached Diaz. Carolina started filming, and the plaintiffs accused her of using “foul and threatening language and defamatory statements” and spraying “copious spittle upon said plaintiffs as she raged.”
Cardi even posted the altercation on Twitter. The trio claimed they were being accused of being labeled racists on-camera.
They also claimed the sisters edited the clips “to remove portions thereof, and thereby hold plaintiffs in a false light, so as to tend to expose and in fact expose each plaintiff to public contempt, ridicule and disgrace and harm.”
A New York trial judge just dismissed the case, and it’s a solid win for Cardi and Carolina.
