Twitter Gave Mary J. Blige Her Flowers On The 22nd Anniversary of “Mary”

And she, rightfully, deserves them.

New jack R&B icon Mary J. Blige trended on Twitter in celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the release of her fourth studio album, “Mary.”

The album included the hit singles– “All That I Can Say,” “Deep Inside,” and “Your Child”  and was released on August 17, 1999.

But not only that, Black Twitter wanted to give the queen of thigh-high boots and auntie realness her flowers for all of her inspiring work.

The tweets ranged from hilarious to heartfelt.

Blige’s impact on Black music is unquestionable. Her documentary on Amazon Prime, Mary J. Blige’s My Life, has gotten rave reviews.

The film highlighted the singer’s trials, tribulations and success on the 25th anniversary of her  trailblazing, classic album “My Life.”

It’s available to watch now on Amazon Prime.
