Twitter Defends Serena Williams After User Tries To Criticize Her Legacy

Mike Baggz suggested that Williams should have married a Black man to elevate her legacy

Twitter is popping after a user tried to undermine iconic Serena William’s legacy by pointing out that she was married to a white man – co-founder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian. A verified account handled by Mike Baggz started all the buzz by posting, “

Serena Williams’s legacy would of been even more SOLIDIFIED if she married a Black American man.” The tweet went up on November 30, and William’s fans wasted no time defending the former olympian tennis player.

They quickly reminded Baggz that her legacy was just as strong regardless and that it had nothing to do with who she married.

Serena Williams married Ohanian back in 2017, and the pair have a 5-year-old daughter together. It’s also no secret that Ohanian is William’s biggest supporter
