Track Star Sha’Carri Richardson Beats Competition In Women’s 100m Race

She reportedly defeated Jamaican track star Elaine Thompson-Herah at the race.

Track star Sha’Carri Richardson recently beat her competition in the women’s 100m race at the World Athletics Continental Tour silver meet in Switzerland.

According to reports, Richardson clocked in at 11.29 seconds, earning her a victory in the seven-person race on Aug. 30. As such, she defeated Olympic gold medalist Elaine Thompson-Herah by just one-hundredth of a second.

Richardson’s latest win is reportedly her first in three attempts against the Jamaican champion, who currently has records in the 100m and 200m races. That day, she addressed the critics who had been hating on her since day one via social media.

“Never never have I talked mess about anyone else. I just have confidence in myself and will always big up myself,” she said. “After only [two] years [of being] professional loll. That’s all I’ve bee So, don’t mix up the two. Having confidence in yourself is not bashing others!!! Try it sometimes”

She followed up her tweet with another one saying, “Y’all hate me win or lose [laughing emojis].”

The following day, she returned with yet another tweet saying she loves “women” and that she’d never tear anyone down. Fans speculated that she was referring to her fellow track stars, but she has yet to confirm.

“I love women too much to let y’all tear anyone down that’s been the goat for far too long that don’t have to prove anything to anyone,” she tweeted on Aug. 31.

Back in June, Richardson also won the women’s 100m race at Montverde, Florida’s 2022 Star Athletics Sprint Series. That day, she clocked in at 10.73 seconds with the help of a +4.3 m/s tailwind to secure first place in the competition.

Lately, she’s not only been sharing tweets of Black empowerment to her followers but also updating her fans with updates on her upcoming races and fashion.
