Tory Lanez’s Bail Could Be Revoked Or Increased For Violating Restraining Order

Prosecutors want his bail increased or revoked.

Tory Lanez’s surprise appearance at Rolling Loud Miami has landed him in hot water. On July 25, during his performance at the popular music festival, DaBaby brought the Canadian rapper on stage just after Megan Thee Stallion’s set.

In response to him performing at the music festival, prosecutors are now going after him in court. They are seeking to revoke or increase his bail. The prosecutor’s office claimed he violated a court order to stay away from Megan Thee Stallion, who also performed at the popular hip-hop music festival.

According to The Shade Room, Tory could be facing jail time until the next trial if the bail is revoked.DaBaby faced his own backlash from the LGBTQ+ community after an offensive comment was made during the performance. As a matter of fact, there is footage of fans throwing shoes at the two during their set.

Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, pleaded not guilty in November 2020 to two felony charges: assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He was later was accused of shooting Stallion in the foot last year and charged with a felony assault. His restraining order requires him to stay away from Megan, and he was supposedly within 100 yards of her.

In response to his presence, prosecutors are now going after him in court. They are seeking to revoke or increase his bail. They claim he violated a court order to stay away from Megan Thee Stallion, a slated performer at the popular hip-hop music festival.

According to TMZ, prosecutors have already filed a motion to hold Lanez in contempt for violating the issued restraining order.

A hearing for the contempt motion is set for August 19.
