Tiffany Haddish Arrested For DUI In Atlanta

Comedian Tiffany Haddish was arrested on Jan. 14 for suspicion of driving under the influence. Haddish was arrested near Atlanta by officers from the Peachtree City Police Department.

Haddish had been pulling into a driveway when she was apprehended by the police around 4 a.m., according to the Peachtree PD. Police said they responded to a call about a person asleep at the wheel and stopped Haddish because her car matched the description.

The Girls’ Trip actress was arrested for improper stopping on a roadway and a DUI. In addition, the police said Haddish had been smoking marijuana. After smiling for her mugshot, Haddish posted the $1,666 to be released and left the jail around 6:30 a.m.

Haddish admitted in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she was struggling after losing her grandmother. She also lost her good friend and mentor Bob Saget, who recently passed away and her puppy of 13 years. The comedian said she was heartbroken.

“This year, you know, people are like, ‘Happy New Year.’ I’m like, no, neutral new year. I’m gonna be neutral in the year,” said Haddish, “I’ve been crying a lot ’cause it’s, that’s my heart. My dog was my heart, and the other people who passed, you know, those, they were my rocks, you know, they had my back. I mean, they taught me a lot, so I lost the physical, I’m sure I got them in the spiritual.”

While the actress noted her personal life was in shambles, she said her sex life was doing well.

“Well, my personal life, OK, my sexual personal life is not in shambles,” she joked.

Haddish also has a new show called The Afterparty, making its debut on Apple TV+ later this month. The comedy occurs after a high school reunion during an afterparty where someone is murdered. Each episode will showcase a character at the party and their version of events.

The Afterparty premieres on Apple TV+ on Jan. 28.
