According to Healthline, the chance of a woman naturally conceiving twins only occurs in about 1 in every 250 pregnancies. But for three cousins in Mississippi, it appears that their genes may have put them at an even higher chance, with all currently being pregnant with twins.
According to WLBT, Melody Stubbs, Courtney Harper and Janeshia Wilson grew closer together after they all found
out they were carrying double, and have been by each other’s side throughout their pregnancies. The women, residing in Bolton, Mississippi, are due to give birth this October, all within 8 days of one another, the news outlet reported. The soon-to-be mothers reportedly found out about the coincidence on social media, with Harper telling WLBT, “I think [Janeshia] posted first, and I saw her post, and I posted mine about a week or two later. She called me and said, ‘You’re pregnant, you’re having twins?!’”
They then
started a message group chat after discovering that their cousin Stubbs was also pregnant with twins, according to the outlet, leading to the three developing a close relationship and sharing a space to discuss relatable pregnancy stories. Wilson told WLBT about their frequent get-togethers, “We get together, have fun, take pictures, and just experience the journey together,”According to WLBT, Stubbs and Harper are each expecting a girl and a boy, while Wilson is currently carrying twin boys.

On whether twins have been in their family traditionally, Courtney told WLBT, “It’s kinda mind-blowing. The first question that people ask is whether twins run in our family, but no one close to us has twins. We kinda just started a generation of twins out of nowhere.”
Congratulations to all three women on their pregnancies.
