“There Was A Bit Of Healing:” Keri Hilson Details Making Up With Beyoncé

Hilson is ready to finally move on from the beef.

Keri Hilson has had a long-standing beef with fellow artist Beyoncé that started 12 years ago. In a recent interview with 92Q’s Persia, the “Pretty Girl Rock” singer spoke on her growth since the petty, mostly one-sided beef. After Beyoncé reached out to Hilson, she says the two had “a bit of healing in that moment” and moved on from their feud.

Rumors of the two singers having beef started in 2009 when Hilson allegedly threw shots at Beyoncé in the remix for her hit “Turnin’ Me On.” In it, she

sang,Your vision cloudy if you think that you’re the best. You can dance she can sing, but she need to move it to the… She need to go have some babies. She needs to sit down. She fake.”

Two years later, Hilson all but confirmed the rumors that she didn’t get along with Beyoncé at a red carpet event. Juicy Magazine asked various celebrities to hold up a magazine cover featuring none other than Beyoncé. Hilson briefly glances at the cover before immediately saying no and handing it back.

Last August, Hilson spoke about her past thing with Beyoncé on Out Loud with Claudia Jordan, where she explained that her team, not her mostly pushed the beef. “…

it was framed that way. It was written that way. Was not my lyrics, was not my writing, was not my doing. And then, I’m caught, like, do I tell the truth? Do I expose them early in my career? I’m super young, super new.”

When asked by Persia earlier this week if she saw a collab with Beyoncé in the future, Hilson stated that it would be a “fun experience.” Explaining their past, she said, “I do feel like she understood what that was all about. Yeah, she amazing. I’ve always felt this way…But, no one will believe that.”

She also detailed her meeting with Beyoncé, telling Persia, “She actually has introduced herself. It was a gracious moment. I appreciated it. I feel like she understood what had happened, what had transpired, and there was a bit of healing in that moment when we met.”

It looks like that tired beef can finally be put to rest.
