According to a post shared by the show’s Twitter account, “The Talk” has been renewed for a 12th season following the departure of longtime co-host Sharon Osbourne from the daytime show earlier this year.
“The Talk’s” official Twitter posted the announcement and said, “JUST ANNOUNCED! #TheTalk has been officially renewed for another year on @CBS returning for a 12th season in 2021-2022! More fun, more topics, more Talk!”
According to Page Six, CBS has yet to reveal whether the current clique of co-hosts: Sheryl Underwood, Carrie Ann Inaba, Amanda Kloots, and Elaine Welteroth are all returning or if a replacement for Osbourne would be named.
The talk show was shaken with controversy earlier this year after Osbourne and Underwood got into a heated on-air debate, Sister2Sister reported.
That of which Underwood later said left her dealing with PTSD and prompted a hiatus from the show and the inevitable exit for Osbourne.
Following the on-air beef, former show co-hosts came out, guns ablaze, and accused Osbourne of using racist and homophobic commentary on set in the past, allegations Osbourne has adamantly denied.
