The Carters’ Latest Family Picture Shows Blue Ivy Is Almost The Same Height As Beyoncé

A picture of Beyoncé, Jay-Z and their three children began circulating social media earlier this week. And while fans were surprised to see how much the couple’s twins, Sir and Rumi, had grown, many noticed that their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, has legs for days. At only 9-years-old, she appears to be almost the same height as her superstar mom.

The Carters posed in front of a large painting, which was a part of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol’s General Electric series in the mid-1980s. Dressed in black and white, Sir, Rumi and Blue Carter held hands and smiled from ear to ear for the snapshot.

And although Beyoncé, who is allegedly 5’7”, rocked a pair of clear heels, she and Blue Ivy are nearly the same height. Jay-Z is over six feet tall, so if she’s taking after her father, then she’ll have plenty more growing to do.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed Blue Ivy in 2011, three years after the couple tied the knot. Known for their work ethic and entrepreneurship, the Carters allowed their daughter to bid on $19,000 artwork at age 6, as well as follow in her mother’s musical footsteps. 

In March, Blue Ivy received

her first Grammy Award for Best Music Video. She collaborated with SAINT JHN, WizKid and Beyoncé for “Brown Skin Girls,” which was a featured song on the Lion King: The Gift album. Blue Ivy earned her credit by singing the opening and closing lines, making her the second-youngest Grammy winner ever.

Several celebrities and fans commented on The Shade Room about the heartwarming family pic.

“God’s true love,” singer Tamar Braxton wrote.

Former America’s Next Top Model contestant and actress Tocarra Jones commented “Goals” about the Carter family.

Others joked about how rarely we see the twins and how closely they resemble the cast of The Proud Family. The hit cartoon featured a Black family with a daughter and younger twins.

“They are literally the real-life Proud family,” one fan commented under the picture.

One thing’s for sure: We can’t wait until Beyoncé and Jay-Z share another glimpse of their gorgeous family. Blue Ivy and the twins are literally growing up before our eyes.
