Bronx rapper Cardi B learned nemesis Tasha K indeed didn’t have the $4 million she owed the rapper after losing her defamation lawsuit.
According to Radar Online, Cardi B took action to ensure she received every penny the YouTuber owed her, including seizing her assets and estate. After sending JP Morgan Chase a letter requesting that they withhold Tasha K’s funds, the financial institution notified the “WAP” rapper that the UnWineWIthTashaK host and her company, Kebe Studios, only had $1,083.02 in their bank accounts—that’s 0.00027% of what she owes.
The Tasha K and Cardi B legal situation brewed in 2019 after the “Money” rapper sued the blogger for the many allegations she made in her vlogs about Cardi, like her being a prostitute and having herpes.
Cardi B told the court that the false allegations caused marriage, emotional health, and mental health problems, and she had to seek professional help. As a result, the judge ruled Tasha K owed her a total of $4 million for general damages, medical expenses, punitive damages, and attorney fees.
Tasha K’s initial request to appeal the $4 million judgment was denied. She filed a second appeal, which is currently pending. Tasha K believes the appeal would allow more time, but Cardi said a $3.8 million bond would need to be paid for the request to happen.
The two women are waiting for the judge to reach a verdict regarding Cardi B’s eligibility to seize Tasha K’s funds.
On July 16, Tasha K announced that she moved to Africa and called her new life on the continent a “fresh start” a couple of months later.
She sprinkled in pettiness when she posed a photo of Cardi B and her next to each other with the caption, “Welp, #YouTube video up in 5 minutes! Since your fav keeps BEGGING for these little coins, ask her how she wants the 4 million? In Guinea Francs or Ugandan Shillings?”
In a post before that, she filmed herself embracing African fashion with a gold Shayla.
“Looking like 4,000,000 Dirhams,” she wrote in the caption.
Africa didn’t stop Tasha K from talking about Cardi B publicly, calling her an “ex two-year superstar.”
