“Superfly” Actor Kaalan Walker Convicted Of Serial Rape In Los Angeles

"I didn't rape, anybody, your honor," Walker yelled.

Rapper and actor Kaalan Walker, 27, has been convicted of raping six people and sexually assaulting another.

On Monday, a Los Angeles County jury found Walker guilty of the charges. While he was acquitted of three other charges, including two forcible rape, Walker faces a maximum sentence of 100 years in prison.

His lawyer, Andrew Flier, told

The Wrap that he would be appealing the decision.

“Mr. Walker maintains his complete innocence to the charges and allegations,” Flier said. “The defense is very [confident] that the convictions will be reversed.”

Rolling Stone Magazine reported that when Walker was being led out of the courtroom on Monday, he yelled: “I didn’t rape anybody, your honor.”

According to the prosecution, the occurrence happened between 2013 and 2018, and the victims were underaged. He messaged them on Instagram and Twitter and used his celebrity status, and name-dropped well-known celebrities like Drake and Halle Berry to gain their trust. Walker allegedly told them to show up to spurious photoshoots and gigs.

In 2018, when the Superfly actor was arrested after over 30 women spoke out against Walker, claiming he assaulted them. Flier contended that the women coming forward was an act of revenge because they were lied to about photoshoot opportunities and Walker’s ability to connect them with celebrities.

“The pattern of Mr. Walker is to make false promises, and they bought it,” Flier said during the trial. “Each one of these women voluntarily made their own decisions. He didn’t force them. It’s payback to Mr. Walker, and we’re not going to let that happen.”

The publication reported that Flier didn’t think the trial was fair and was dissatisfied with the verdict.

Walker was placed back in custody after the verdict and will remain there until he returns to court for his next hearing on May 27.
