Steve Harvey Says It’s ‘Hard’ Thinking About Michael B. Jordan Marrying Lori Harvey

"I've given away two daughters. I've got four. That's a really hard one," he explained.

Steve Harvey has watched two daughters get married and have their own families. However, the comedian said it’s “hard” thinking about his youngest daughter Lori Harvey getting married to boyfriend Michael B. Jordan, despite labeling him as a “good guy” in the past.

Since the couple went public with their relationship in November 2020, Steve said, “Man, this is a hard one,” during his appearance on

Today with Hoda & Jenna on Thursday.

“I’ve given away two daughters. I’ve got four. That’s a really hard one.”

“I would have to say so far — yeah, yeah. No, no, no, man,” he explained.

Though Steve has approved of the 35-year-old actor dating his daughter, he’s still not on board with the idea of Jordan marrying the 25-year-old entrepreneur.

In January, the Family Feud host appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show just a day after he celebrated his 65th birthday. He chatted with the daytime host about his birthday celebration, Lori and Jordan’s relationship, and fitness regime.

“You look good,” DeGeneres told her co-star on the show. “Yeah, I’m fighting,” he said with a smile. “Fighting old age. Just trying not to let it come take me away.”

The conversation shifted when DeGeneres posted a photo of Lori, and Jordan booed up as they posed for a New Year’s Eve photo. “I’ve never seen that picture before,” Steve said, getting visibly tense. “I’m very uncomfortable with that picture, I’m not really feeling [it].”

While Steve may have questions for the man that could potentially be his son-in-law, he did credit Jordan for his talent for gift-giving after the

Creed star gifted Steve with a box of 100 rare cigars and his wife, Marjorie, a brand new pair of skis. Steve confirmed that Jordan’s thoughtful gifts were the reason “why [he] likes him.”

“That boy coming through with some ‘[I’m] tryna impress the family’ gifts,” Harvey said, later adding that he’s “pulling” for the Just Mercy star, because “he’s a really good guy.”
