Stacey Dash Apologizes for Past in Politics: ‘I Made a Lot of Mistakes’

The former Fox News pundit says she was the 'angry Black woman.'

On Wednesday, former Fox News pundit and Clueless actress Stacey Dash has come forward in a new interview with Daily Mail TV

in repentance of all past political “mistakes.”

The former Fox News regular is now apologizing for her foolish ways. She also talked about her tenure at the news channel. Dash didn’t like the way the network portrayed her. She admitted to Daily Mail TV that the network cast her as the “angry Black woman.”

“There are things that I am sorry for. Things that I did say, that I should not have said them the way I said them,” Dash said in the interview.

“They were very arrogant and prideful and angry,” she continued. “And that’s who Stacey was, but that’s not who Stacey is now. Stacey’s someone who has compassion, empathy.”

Dash credited an undisclosed incident from 2016 for her “come to Jesus moment,” the publication reported. The Clueless actress has promised to keep her nose out of the political issues.

In the past, Dash was lambasted by many Blacks for her unyielding support of Donald Trump, her and criticism of Black Lives Matter and Black History Month, BET, and critical issues that affected the Black community.

Fox News suspended Dash over disparaging comments, including profanity, made about then-President Obama in 2016, the Daily Mail reported.

Dash’s other antics even included a co-signing former President Trump’s “very fine people” statement regarding neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017.

However, Trump’s role in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol and the violent rioting by white supremacists sparked Dash’s desire to exit from the political realm.

“I think the Capitol Riots were appalling,’ she said. ‘When that happened, I was like ‘Ok. I’m done. I’m truly done.’ Because senseless violence of any kind I denounce,” she explained. “What happened on January 6 was just appalling and stupid.”

Dash’s social media posts seem to support her turning over a new leaf. Now, she is all about her family and spirituality.

Hopefully, she’s learned from her past and is better for it.
