Singer Fantasia Welcomes Newborn Daughter, Keziah Taylor, Home After A Month In The NICU

This is the first child that she shares with husband of six years Kendall Taylor.

American Idol winner and Grammy award-winning singer Fantasia gave birth to a newborn daughter, Keziah Taylor, on May 23. Shortly after, the baby was placed in the hospital’s NICU, likely due to being born prematurely. The “Free Yourself” songstress revealed in late May that Keziah arrived “too early.”

About one month after being born, Keziah has finally traveled home with Fantasia and her husband, Kendall Taylor. Both parents have documented their baby girl’s journey on their social media and let fans know about her safe return to their shared home on Tuesday.

Showing a colorful front yard display, Kendall uploaded a video of a banner, reading, “Welcome Home Baby Girl.”

Earlier this month, the “Truth Is” singer uploaded an emotional picture of herself cradling Keziah along with the thoughtful caption, “Almost home.”

Excited to show off her newborn daughter while also maintaining a level of privacy, she posted a picture of Keziah from her neck down after her NICU exit. Donned in a white gown with matching booties, her mother captioned the photo, “Welcome Home.”

While she was six months pregnant, Fantasia was hospitalized for early contractions, a scary experience for any upcoming mother. Uploading to her Instagram story at the time, she

stated, “Good morning. We’ve been in the hospital all day. We have to stay in the hospital for a while. My baby girl thinks she’s missing something out here. She got to stay in there a little longer.”

Choosing to remain optimistic, she also told fans, “My body’s just tired, but we got this.”

Keziah is the first child she shares with her husband, who she wed in 2015, and her third child.

Congratulations to the happy family on their precious new addition!
