Simone Biles Hates Being Mistaken For Gabby Douglas

They are vastly different in looks and their styles of performance.

Simone Biles continues to be mistaken for Gabby Douglas even after becoming a household name in the sports and entertainment industries.

Biles, widely considered to be one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, winning a total of 30 Olympic and World Championship medals, including 19 gold medals, is being confused with Douglas, who, although also a Black gymnast who started at the age of six, does not look remotely like her.

She tweeted, “Still getting called [G]abby [D]ouglas is crazy to me.”

Another of Biles’ pet peeves is being mistaken for a child because of her young appearance.

It is worth noting that Biles is still an active gymnast who is expected to be married to finacé NFL safety for the Houston Texans Jonathan Owens, while Douglas, who won a total of three Olympic gold medals and one silver, has since retired.

Biles and Douglas are about the same age, with Biles currently being 26 years old while Douglas is 27, but the key difference is their facial features, upbringing, and style of performance.

Biles is a dark-skinned woman who is significantly shorter than Douglas. In fact, she had to address her short stature on NBC, telling fans that she is “stuck under 5 feet” with muscular arms.

Douglas is 5’2″ tall compared to Biles’ 4’8″.

Biles is also a former foster child who was adopted by her grandparents at a young age. Douglas was a “military brat.”

Biles’ athleticism is best described as powerful and dominating, which has earned her the nickname “The GOAT. She excels in events such as vault, floor exercise, and balance beam. Douglas was a skilled all-around gymnast who focused on elegance and grace, but she was particularly strong on the uneven bars.

Many of The GOAT’s fans on Twitter commented on her tweet in support of her distress.
