Rihanna has revealed her new Savage X Fenty collection with Caramel Curves, according to Vogue.
The singer tapped the group of boss a** Black women from New Orleans, known for riding motorcycles as a crew, to shoot the commercial for her full-figured women’s collection.
Rihanna told Vogue that the new collection featuring the Caramel Curves would be sexy and badass.
“The Caramel Curves show the world what being a badass boss is all about, while bringing sexiness along for the ride,” she said.
Rihanna posted the new commercial for Savage X Fenty on Twitter.
“Behind every Savage, there’s a story,” wrote Rihanna. “And who more savage than my Caramel Curves !!! We don’t just sell panties over here. @savagexfenty we represent the culture! #savageXcaramelcurves.”
Nakosha “Coco” Smith and Shanika “Tru” Beatty founded the motorcycle club in 2005. The ladies said that they never wear boring t-shirts and jeans while riding. The bikers ride while wearing sexy high heels and ensembles that sparkle.
“I didn’t want to go shop for basic clothes because I didn’t dress like that. I always wore sparkly, blingy stuff all the time,”Smith said. “So, that pretty much started the trend for the Caramel Curves that ‘This is our look. When you come in, be prepared to look this way. You’re gonna have to wear heels, sexy clothes, be cute. Get it together. We don’t want to look regular.’ I’m never going to look regular.”
“It is just looking fab all the time,” she continued .“We are always blinging and glistening. Anything sequins, rhinestones, we’re going to wear it. When this comes out, I feel like a lot of people are going to be like, ‘I am not surprised that Rihanna picked the Caramel Curves because those girls stay fly.'”
Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty collection will range in bra sizes from 32A to 42H and lingerie from XS to 3X.
