One thing about Rihanna, she doesn’t hesitate to take action when it involves herself or her business ventures. The entrepreneur recently dropped Savage X Fenty ambassador Ari Fletcher from the exclusive program.

Internet users didn’t hesitate to dig deeper and find out why Fletcher was reportedly dismissed from her role with the company. However, fans believe the fashion mogul removed the social media influencer as ambassador after controversial comments about domestic violence victims went viral a few weeks ago, Yahoo! News reported.

While many believed the 26-year-old didn’t deserve to be a part of the well-known clothing brand, others speculated that Rihanna had taken her comments personally, given her publicized domestic violence incident with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in 2009.

In late December, Fletcher appeared on the Don’t Call Me A White Girl podcast, where she opened up about her relationship with rapper MoneyBagg Yo. During the conversation, she stated that she wanted him to “pull a gun on her” to express how much he loved her if she tried to leave him, Yahoo! News reported.

“Like, pull your gun out and show me like, ‘B*tch leave. I wish you would walk out the door,” she jokingly said. “I’m going to just sit down because I got a son, and I’m not trying to die – I got a son. So I’m only staying because I got a son, and I don’t want you to shoot me,” she continued.

After the statements went viral, Fletcher faced backlash on Instagram from users, music fans, domestic violence survivors, and those who work closely with victims. However, she quickly dismissed the comments and told social media critics to mind their business and stay out of her love life. She then went on Instagram live to reiterate her stance on domestic violence, telling victims, “we do not care.”

The music artist took immediate action and removed all mentions of Fletcher from the Savage X Fenty website.

Fans flooded the comment section of the neighborhood talk and expressed their opinions on the situation.

Singer Christina Milian, an ambassador for the brand, shared her experience while in an abusive relationship.

“Whoa.. hadn’t seen that til now. Those are very hurtful words. Trust.. I’ve been in an abusive relationship before, and I promise you. You do not want a gun pulled on or pointed at you. It’s the scariest thing you can experience amongst the slew of a million other crazy things you can experience in that type relationship. IYKYK. I’m sorry to the women who have experienced this or are in this. I pray you find help out of this. There IS a way out. Love to you,” she said in the comments.

Despite the comments, the billionaire is preparing to open her first Savage X Fenty retail store in the U.S. She teased a post on Instagram, “2022, we coming in HOT! we bout to bring you a whole new #SavageXFenty experience with the launch of our brick-and-mortar retail stores,” she wrote in the caption.
